Your digital painting skills have been improving. I dig, no wonder you've been so popular lately, hahah~ Also, yes, background is nice but I really like how you used the leaves to frame the piece. And how you used the wand's light as a secondary source that casts on both Arthur AND the leaves. ahhhh, that's just some nice attention to detail there!

And now is the time that I throw in a tutorial to help with a problem spot.

So the hands. The hand that's holding the book comes off as being a bit flat and the lines near the tips of the fingers give off the impression that the fingers are going the other way. I think you got the right idea with the general hand posing but the lines would've been better served in the middle of the hand to indicate that the fingers were bending a bit to support the hands. The other hand seems alright, though more definition of the wrist and having the thumb more firmly on the wand would help. Don't underestimate the power of ref pics or simply emulating the pose yourself. When it comes to painting, shading really helps when it comes to defining forms. You're getting it, but you still gotta work on it. I hope that sounded at least somewhat helpful. :3
